John Rose a ticket agent at the depot was bitten Friday morning by a mad dog in the lot while hitching a horse near 5:30. The dog sprang from behind and tore clothing but did not bite flesh. Rose later found the dog and killed it, with only minor tooth marks and blue bruises visible.

Frank L. Woods, recently jailed on a Georgia swindling warrant, is alleged to have married twice in Georgia, first in Atlanta then in Rome. A Texas woman claims to be his wife and asks Collin County officers to locate a second wife. Woods, a former cement sidewalk contractor, lived in Denton with his wife and infant son.
