Wreck at Denton Damages Passenger Cars on M. K. & T.

M K T No 206 pulled into Denton Saturday night when a sidetrack error caused the smoker and chair car to derail into a line of box cars. The two damaged cars were detached and moved to Denison for repair, with passengers transferred to other coaches and no injuries reported.

He claims the liner was believed unsinkable but collided with an iceberg and asserts he did not advise Captain Smith on voyage speed. A storm Saturday caused a fatality in Denton County near Roanoke and Flower Mound. The deceased is identified as the son of BG Hopkins, with the incident noted at the town area southeast of Lewesville.

Tornadoes Strike Denton County Leaving One Dead in Flower Mound

The same storm that hit Wye and Colin counties damaged Elizabethtown west of Roanoke and Flower Mound near Lewisville. Seven-year-old son of M G Hopkins died and another Hopkins child may recover in Flower Mound. A 10-year-old in Elizabethtown was injured. Mrs Kerr and infant also hurt.

Tornado Rips Flower Mound Area Killing Two

A tornado struck Flower Mound four miles southwest of Lewisville on a Saturday night. One boy was killed and another fatally injured while at least one more was seriously hurt as the storm demolished the S. W. Lusk house and nearby property. The Hopkins family lost two sons, with parents surviving after their home was carried away.

Destructive Local Storm Destroys Homes Farmland

A violent storm killed a seven year old boy and left two others injured. At Lee Knight's place the house and barn were ripped apart while the family survived in a storm cellar. John Hilliard's barn and outhouses were demolished though the dwelling remained intact. The storm traced a circular half mile path, stripping fields and wrecking structures over miles.
