Ten Years History of the Texas College for Girls
A historical overview traces the fight to establish a Texas industrial institute for girls, culminating in the 1911 law creating the Texas Industrial Institute and College for the Education of White Girls. Denton was chosen for the campus after a statewide search, with notable early leaders and a pioneering faculty guiding its opening in 1903.
