Officers Sam Webster as president and Brenda Alberty Ramona Thomas and Peggy Bradford as officers organize a Christmas tree light bulb cover sale to raise funds for the Mullens High School Honor Society. H. H. Cobb of Eastern Associated Coal Corp says a 20 year contract will have Carolina Power and Light buy 7,000 tons daily from a Boone County mine. Coal will move in 9,000 ton unit trains at $2 per net ton to Roxboro generating station in North Carolina.
