Raleigh County Board approves teaching staff changes
The Raleigh County Board of Education approved numerous hiring transfers and resignations on Tuesday evening. New hires include Dianne Dent as a speech therapist on a probationary contract. transfers include Helen Walker to the ESEA program. and various moves for Ruby Jane Coats Delano Dillon Barbara York and others. Resignations were reported among elementary teachers aides and staff.

Fresno Internal Revenue agents arrested Jim Scott, 48, leader of The Tax Rebellion Committee, on $10,000 bond for willful failure to file federal income tax returns for 1969 and 1970. He vowed to kill the income tax and to fight the IRS on constitutional grounds.
