Missing Mogul Found Slain

Paul G. Allison a 57 year old Santa Rosa California manufacturer was found slain in the back of his pickup in Reno Nevada. His body was found under blankets in the camper top after the truck had sat in a downtown Reno lot since Tuesday. He had been stabbed and beaten. His wallet and papers were missing and a three state manhunt was under way. He telephoned his wife from Lovelock Nevada en route to Montana State University in Missoula.

Idaho Falls Car Crash Kills Cowboy and 11 Cows

A speeding car exceeding 100 mph struck a herd of cattle near Idaho Falls, killing 11 cows and a cowboy’s horse, with two men in the car dead. Five men and one woman were in the vehicle. the casualties include Phil Garner, 26, driver, and Jay Brown, 39. The other four occupants and the horse rider were seriously hurt.

Plane lands on moving auto in Buford injures none

Four Buford residents escaped injury as a single engine plane crashed atop a moving auto. Pilot Howard G. Skeleton Found In Lake May Be Hurricane Man

A plastic wrapped skeleton found in Lake Washington near St. Albans is believed to be that of a missing Hurricane man who disappeared nine months ago. Sheriff Opha Stone withheld the name pending further investigation as a St. Albans man and his son located the bagged remains while turtle hunting. The body appears adult male with some bones missing and a brown jacket, no pants or shirt. Water levels were to be lowered to recover a dental plate lost with the bag.
