The Salvation Army started excavations for a 14500 dollar citadel on Fayette street with construction to begin next week. City Lumber and Supply estimates 90 days to completion though funds totaled 12000 with a 9000 mortgage secured. Building includes living quarters, hall, recreation space, and a 200-person auditorium across three floors with offices and facilities. Congressman Joe L. Smith donated the lot and 1000 toward the project.

Sullivan man back 10 serve Va sentence

He confessed to escaping a road gang four months before ending a one year sentence for felonious shooting. Beaver resident Bill Lawson waived to the grand jury on a felonious assault charge after allegedly shooting Eva Tot Lane in the hip near Roxie Neal's home by Pine Grove park.
