Jasper Wins Demo Nomination In Senate Race by Court Rule
The Supreme Court affirmed Jasper Jr. of Lewisburg won the Democratic nomination for West Virginia State Senate in the 11th District by 62 votes after the Aug 3 primary in Greenbrier and Fayette counties. The ruling rejected calls to reconvene the Fayette County Court to address recount errors and any ballot rejection, stating irregularities did not affect the outcome and that recounts cannot determine fraud.
