Appalachian Bible Institute in Sylvester Whitesville Boone County enters its fifth year operating as a tuition free Bible college with 35 monthly room and board, funded by gifts. The school, started in 1950 by Rev. R S Guelich and Rev. Lester E Pipkin, has grown slowly and aims to move to Raleigh County with a $53,000 land and building fund by January 1.
