Beckley Garden Clubs plan fairyland Christmas lights
Beckley business district will glow with tri color aluminum foil garlands and lighted stars across main streets. A five foot star to hang on the courthouse will be centered among red, green and silver garlands while parking meters receive festive designs. A community lighting ceremony is planned for December 1 on courthouse steps with an a cappella choir. Funds, estimated at 15000 to 55000 dollars, will be raised by solicitation and support from junior groups and the Beckley Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce.
