Fourth Death Expected In Ghent Crash On Route 19
A fatal crash near Ghent yesterday left four dead and several injured. Evie Lilly 18 of Cool Ridge is in critical condition with severe head lacerations and a mangled leg. Jake Lilly 21 and Clyde Crawford 20 of Ghent suffered multiple injuries. Emmett Crawford 18 sustained left shoulder injuries. Victims in the other car were Kenneth William Lucas 39 of Princeton and Winfred C. George about 40 of Narrows Virginia. Charles H. Wilburn 62 of Cool Ridge died in the Lilly car. Trooper C H Padden said Lilly’s 1938 Chevrolet crossed the center line, forcing Lucas’s 1942 Oldsmobile off the road. Lucas and George died instantly. Wilburn died later. The investigation continues.

Free Parking For Beckley Safety Day Parade
