A Logan County dispute seeks a writ of mandamus to force Republican ballot commissioner Lida M. Lemaster to sign absentee soldier ballots after regular hours to serve armed forces voters. Clerk Simon A. Dingess and W. L. Burdette allege extended hours. Lemaster and attorney N. W. Waugh oppose, citing authority and compensation limits. A special judge will hear the matter next week.
