Feed Supplement Fly Control Study
Dr. W. O. Haberman of Purina Research reports a promising but incomplete idea for fly control in cattle through feed supplements containing chemicals like phenothiazine or ronnel. Supplements can prevent development in manure, but do not reduce existing fly numbers, and field intake varies. Additional research is needed to integrate additives with sprays or dips in a broader fly control program.
