Unholy Three Try Jail Break at County Lockup
A jail escape attempt by Lester Blevins George Fine and Walter Murphy was thwarted when a rounder found their former cell empty after they tore a toilet loose and broke a floor hole. Prisoners were later found in the basement trying to force a window as officers corralled them back to their cell. The group, dubbed The Unholy Three, had previously tried to escape last July and were returned to their cells under supervision by Jailor Mills and assistant Happy Brown. All are under sentence to Moundsville and likely to be moved soon.
