Mount Hope Garden Club plans fundraiser for decorations

Mount Hope Garden Club held its regular meeting at the United Methodist Church with hostesses Mrs. Jennie Cope Carter and Mrs. O J Walker. Plans were made for a spaghetti dinner in November to raise funds for Christmas decorations and a special money-making session was scheduled for Friday. The club earned recognition at a district meeting for high attendance and received compliments on its yearbook. The group voted to assist in decorating the Crystal Room at the Greenbrier convention in March and join the West Virginia Youth Conservation project. A damaged fence at the Mount Hope City Park was noted and donations were requested. Annual reports and convention reminders were given, with the November meeting to be hosted by Mrs Eddie Souk.
