Woods Fire Burns Three Acres Near Semoco

Scrap Drive Totals 2,163,706 Pounds From Raleigh Schools
In the Raleigh County scrap drive, Superintendent E. M. Ashworth and Salvage Director E. J. Fourney announced at the board office that schools have turned in 2,163,706 pounds to date. Iron and steel lead with 2,125,706 pounds, plus 10,000 copper and brass, 20,000 rubber, 2,000 old rags, and 6,000 other scrap.
