Wild Ducks Over Beckley and Local Committee Quirks
A Beckley note details an aerial flight of wild ducks seen as they trace over the city possibly guided by markers from E. L. Kinkead and Dr. B. M. Jennings. It laments street name confusion and lack of house numbers, mocks itinerant knife grinders, recalls the Johnstown Road boys, and jokes about committee culture in local government.
