Man Hurt In Road Accident Involving Boomer Driver
A State Readjust Commission supervisor Herman Harrah Victor admitted to Laird Memorial Hospital for a broken nip and jaw from an automantic accident Sunday. Norval Stanley 53 of Boomer pulled into the road in front of Harrah’s truck. Stanley was arrested on a drunk driving charge and arraigned before Magistrate Mullins of Ansted. Estimated damage was 30 dollars to the pickup and 400 to Stanley’s car. Roy Kelly of Minden was jailed on a capias issued by Judge Garvin Jr. Deputy Sheriff Buddy Crouch arrested Kelly.

Mrs Medeline Dobbs Cotton, a young mother of five, died Wednesday from an overdose of sleeping pills. She was taken to a Montgomery hospital after an unsuccessful attempt to awaken her, dying late in the day. She is survived by her husband, parents, four daughters and a son.
