Conservationists Press Nixon for Full Park Lands Funding
Thirteen conservation leaders urged President Nixon to release the full 200 million dollars authorized for park land purchases. In a letter dated Oct. 17 and released by Joseph W. Penfold, they criticized the budgeted 124 million and pressed for the land and water conservation fund to backstop national parks and recreational areas.
