Piney View Man Awarded 3000 Dollars in Suit
Carlos Edward Adkins Jr of Piney View won a 3000 dollar judgment from a Raleigh County Circuit Court jury after a two day trial over unpaid medical bills and wages from a truck accident. He testified the Raleigh Stone Co truck hired to haul gravel from Raleigh to Piney View was defective and caused his injuries. Adkins, 18, now in an Island Creek Coal Co training program at Baileysville, was hospitalized two weeks. Legal counsel: Joseph Luchini for Adkins and Ned Ragland for Jenkins.
