Nine Seamen Rescued After Months On Reef
Suva Fiji (UPI) two men near death washed ashore 30 miles south of Suva after a months long shipwreck on a barren reef in the South Pacific. They said 11 crewmen were stranded with no food or water aboard the 50 foot cutter Tuaikaepeu, which disappeared after leaving Tonga last July 4. Seven survivors remained after three months at sea, found near a wrecked Japanese trawler. A Sunderland flying boat delivered aid and was to recover the men.
