J B Booth on Hull street reduced retail supply from 10 to 12 gallons to about 1.5 gallons per day. James dairy near Pinecrest, once 130 gallons, now produces around 100 gallons, selling only to Pinecrest sanitarium. Mrs G W James and son say labor shortages last week cut production from 110 to 90–100 gallons daily while workers are scarce. Giampalo of Beckley reports hiring only child labor and family help, offering 5 or 6 dollars a day, unable to find dependable workers.
