Funeral services are announced for Mrs Lucy Elliott Keaton 79 of Ghent at West View Church with Rev Everett Shafer and Rev Robert Lilly officiating burial in Brammer Cemetery at Odd. Survivors include sons Lacy Wayne Willard and daughters Hattie Bragg Jennie Roark Oma Meadows Vernie Prince and many grandchildren. Mrs Keaton died after a long illness in a local hospital. Also listed are services for Mrs Samantha Sherod 63 of Harlem Heights at Glorious Church of God in Christ with Elder Jackie Moore officiating burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. She died en route to a local hospital after a long illness. Survivors include husband Elder Henry Sherod three sons Leroy Edwin and Henry and three daughters Thelma Page Althea Patterson and Mary Lewis plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The body for Jenkins Slavey 52 of Brenton lies at the Robert son and Foglesong Funeral Home in Pineville.
