Funeral services set for Mrs. Fannie Howard 81 of Pax at 1 p.m. in Pax Church of God with Rev. Harold Clendennin to lead. Burial in Pax Cemetery. Howard died Sunday night at Oak [Ea Hospital after a short illness from a heart attack. Survivors include son Samuel Howard, daughter Dora Bess, brother James Bess, sister Stella Webb, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Body at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope then to church an hour before service. Also memorials for A Noel Ennis 57 of 119 Hillpark Drive with service at 11 a.m. Thursday in Melton Mortuary Chapel. Burial in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Ennis, a Beckley public accountant, died en route to hospital after a heart attack. Survived by wife Elsie Smith Ennis, daughter Hariette Ennis, son Madison, four sisters, and several in-laws and nieces. Active pallbearers listed. Body to remain at funeral home after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Miss Barbara Alice Bumgarner 68 will be buried in Cheshire Gallia County Ohio after funeral at First Methodist Church with Rev Elmer Wilson in charge. A Virginian Railway employee since 1918 she died of a heart condition at a city hospital Monday night after five years of ill health. Born January 1 1893 at Waverly she lived in Raleigh County 40 years. Survived by three brothers and six sisters, pallbearers named, burial at Caffee Funeral Home until service.

Beckley Driver Cleared in Cabell County Death
A Beckley driver was cleared of blame in the death of Russell Manns a 26 year old man from Branchlands after a Sunday night wreck near Huntington. Miss Lillie Mae McPherridge of 1396 1211 1 2 Kanawha Street drove the car that struck Manns after he walked into the path of the oncoming vehicle. The other driver Artie Pack 34 Ranleer was charged with a drinking violation. The crash occurred at East Pea Ridge Road and Route 60 near Huntington. Manns died about midnight from head injuries.
