Reunion of West Virginia Civil War veterans noted in Beckley
A 1918 Beckley reunion of Confederate veterans prompted a modern reader to share a photo from the procession. The Raleigh Register listed 85 veterans in attendance, with 57 pictured, and described efforts to match faces to names from the Sept. 12 1918 roster. The piece details organizers, events, and housing plans for visitors in Beckley.
