Col Norman Basil Edwards, a former West Virginia Tech football star and longtime Army officer, was named the fourth member of Tech’s Athletic Hall of Fame. He played for the Golden Bears, later attended West Point, and served in World War II and Korea, earning multiple decorations. Edwards is now commanding officer of the 1st Infantry at Fort Benning, with a career spanning Army infantry leadership and instructional roles. He is married with three children.
