Mount Hope Lions sponsor Barter Theater repertory company presented George Bernard Shaw’s Arms and the Man to a capacity local audience. Despite touring from Abingdon Virginia the eight member cast, each with years of stage experience, delivered a true portrayal set in 1885 Bulgaria amid the Serbian Bulgarian conflict. The production advances to Charleston next as part of a national tour through many cities.

Power To Be Off Sunday Morning At Mullens During Installation
Power will be off for five to six hours Sunday morning beginning at 5 30 o clock while three new transformers are installed.
