Fire damages Dollar Store in Pineville
The Wyoming County Volunteer Fire Department responded to The Dollar Store in Pineville at 7 30 p m Tuesday after a clothing display caught fire. All merchandise suffered smoke damage. Fire Chief Jack Lambert said a cigarette was dropped on the clothing table and that smoke had been smelled earlier but the source was not found.

Fayette Court OKs Election Expenditures in Three Districts
Fayette County Court approved general election expenditures totaling 7458.12 in Valley District, 7105.56 in Plateau District, and 6848.05 in New Haven District. Jack Gannon reported on the Beckwith camp progress and the courthouse annex interior completion.
