Mrs. Bessie Cummings Comer 53 of Mabscott died at 1 15 am today after an extended illness. Born February 9 1905 in Monroe County she was daughter of the late Andrew and Marie Cummings. She is survived by her husband Francis Comer four brothers and one sister. Funeral Friday at 2 pm in the Church of the Brethren Crab Orchard with burial in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The body will lie at Caffee Funeral Home until one hour before services.
R L Dew Beckley was ordered to appear in Beckley Police Court Monday night after his arrest Tuesday by city police on a charge of running a red light.
