Garland Smith Sentenced for Driving While Drunk
Garland Smith of South Fayette Street began a 30 day jail term after conviction in Magistrate J. P. Meadows court for driving while drunk. He was fined 25 dollars plus costs, his car impounded and his license revoked for six months. Police Chief J. Q. Stover said he was driving all over the street when arrested October 30 on Prince Street. He was jailed after a second drunkenness charge was filed before his continuance expired.
