In Tehran the 73-year-old ex-premier Mohammed Mossadegh staged a dramatic third day at a court martial. He demanded the death by his own action if freed, warned of no appeal, and clashed with Col Jalil Bozorgmehr, swinging and shouting as officers restrained him.
Washington reports that President Eisenhower Prime Minister Churchill and Premier Laurel will join Foreign Minister Bidault and Eden plus Secretary Dulles for a Bermuda conference around December 4 to 8. They will discuss Russia's note and whether a Big Four foreign ministers meeting is needed, with no sign of Western good faith yet.
Former President Harry S. Truman walked through New York with pedestrians and cab drivers greeting him warmly. He answered reporters on various topics while declining to comment on the Harry Dexter White controversy, noting traffic lights and pigeons as he spoke.
Two Weirton attorneys William T. Fahey and Martin T. Fahey petitioned the West Virginia Supreme Court to ban Hancock County circuit court proceedings in a two year old disbarment case. Judge Brennan opened the case alleging the brothers allowed witnesses to testify falsely in a manslaughter matter.

Normal temperatures in WV average 45 in the north and 46 in the south. Specific city readings noted include Beckley 50 high yesterday and 23 low. Oak Hill 52 high, 22 low. Glade Creek 48 high. Reservoirs at Rivers Bellepoint Bluestone and Greenbrier show low stages and clear conditions.

Charleston West Virginia received its sixth Award of Merit from the National Driver Education Award Program for progress in high school driver education. Gov Marland received the bronze plaque from Price E Clark educational director of the sponsoring Assn of Casualty and Surety Companies. Also present were State School Supt W W Trent and Col R W Boyles State Police superintendent.
Preston Hall and his brother Robert Hall are jailed in Raleigh County on malicious wounding and interfering with an officer charges. Deputy Mason Farley arrested them about 5 p.m. Monday after warrants were issued by Magistrate J. K. Cole in Rhodell. Victims William Ray and Frances Vanhook reported the shooting, noting injuries to their legs, non hospitalizing.
Vernon Hebb 39 of Shady Spring was bitten on the right knee by a dog while reading a meter at the D. C. Clement home on 19-21 By-Pass. He was treated at Raleigh General Hospital and reassigned to indoor work after the incident. The dog owner was told to keep the animal tied for several days for observation.
The City Recorder and Sanitary Board will close tomorrow in observance of Armistice Day, affecting standard municipal services and office operations for the day.
Auto Salvage Corp formed in Raleigh with John Wirtz of Beckley Motor Co as president. The firm will buy wrecked vehicles from southern West Virginia, disassemble and resell parts, and ship scrap bodies. Initial staff to be three to five. building also houses the Raleigh Post Office with plans to rent space for a grocery store.
A misunderstanding has arisen between county and city officers in the investigation of the slaying of Miss Bernice Waddy of McAlpin. Her erstwhile friend, Roland Cop-
District Four observers reported two new forest fires near McComas Mercer County and Glade Creek Fayette County. A crew headed to the Mercer site at noon while visibility was fair. Beckley officials urged residents to report fires. nineteen older fires remain active. A Beckley man, ney, is jailed awaiting murder hearing after city police arrest. Sheriff Ward notes ongoing inquiry and a reported misunderstanding over transfer.
WVU faculty member says the Southern Conference will convene in Richmond next Monday to decide on lifting its post season football ban. Conference president Max Farrington, from George Washington, relayed notice. The committee recommended lifting the ban. final action rests with all 10 members. WVU has been mentioned for Sugar and Cotton Bowls.
At 10 45 a m a Pinecrest Sanitarium truck driven by F T Bays Bradley stopped for a light and Tyres Trash Truck driven by Franklin D Haley Beckley crashed into it causing about 50 in damages. No arrests and no injuries.
Six divorces and two annulments were granted since the Circuit Court opened Monday. Cases include Ellison Osborne, Maynor, Gilliam, Staples, Mose ly, and Shrewsbury Johnson, with custody rulings and maiden name restorations noted, plus two annulments for Gregg and Bolen.

Early returns show Ramon Magsaysay leading Elpidio Quirino by about five to one in Manila and surrounding provinces. Saudi Arabia’s new king Saud Ibn Abdul Aziz orders 14 days of official mourning for King Ibn Saud. The 73 year old monarch died yesterday at Taif and was buried the same day in Riyadh. Eldest son proclaimed king with Faisal named heir and prime minister. No immediate policy changes expected.
Three year old Terry Shutko of East Beckley needed four stitches after hitting his head on a book case at home. In separate incidents Joe Shrewsbury of Daniels suffered finger injuries when his hand was caught in a compressor faw. Steven Lilly of Beckley received a rusty nail wound to his left index finger while working for the Raleigh County Board of Education. E L Norris of Beckley Insurance Agency was admitted for observation at Raleigh General Hospital.
