DNR Fines Recco Coals Inc and Local Violators in West Virginia
The Beckley District IV office of the Department of Natural Resources reports fines and costs totaling hundreds of dollars for water pollution and various game violations. Recco Coals Inc and agent W M Stacy faced a 208 fine and costs for pollution near Back Valley Lindside. Other violators include Michael Rule Peterstown with firearms and season violations, Robert Dillon Peterstown, Dickie Blake Renick, Dean Richmond Glen Morgan for turkey and deer related offenses, Billy Hazelwood Athens, Allen Nester Pulaski, Pete Console Princeton, Alfred Hopkins Bluefield, Tyler Snow Matoaka, Pegsy Byrd Skygusty, Henry Shrader Montcalm, Beaver Block Co, David Pruett Beaver Creek, and more, all facing fines and costs or forfeitures for their respective offenses.

Beaver Drive Nets $221 For UNICEF
Contributions totaling 221.20 were collected in the UNICEF drive in Beaver Monday, sponsored by the Beaver and Blue Jay United Methodist Churches. The money was gathered in Beaver Blue Jay Tank Branch Road Sullivan Road C and O Dam Road 4H Lake Road and Day Trailer Court. The funds support United Nations Children’s Fund programs in education nutrition and health across more than 100 countries. Twenty six youths and ten adult supervisors were served refreshments by area women after the canvass.

Beclley City Issues October Building Permits Totaling $452000
Beclley city issued building permits in October totaling more than $452000 with two Dowell Division structures at the Chamber of Commerce Industrial Park on Ragland Road. Dowell plans a 50 by 120 foot building costing $72500 and a 40 by 64 foot structure at $30000. A Towne and Country Shopping Center liquor store permit is $68250 with a $254 fee. Total October permit fees amounted to $1641.60 plus numerous smaller jobs city wide.
