Bluestone Dam Control Levels Now Completed
The Bluestone Reservoir control levels are finished after 157 miles run. Surveys last week covered 2.25 miles traversing, 2.29 miles levels, and six acres of plane table topography. A small survey party laid out automatic gauges at Hinton on the New River and Hillsdale Bridge on the Greenbrier River. The left bank road from the mouth to Lilly was graded, Camp Bluestone beaches and diving piers completed, and land-line disputes investigated. J T Miller of Dravo Construction visited the US Engineers office and viewed the dam with Lt. G A Lincoln. Boggs, CCC camper from Hin ton, received the motor transportation award of merit May 26 for trucking.
