Living Conditions Easier This Summer
New York reports a cautiously optimistic view of summer living. Food abundance and potential tax cuts may keep costs down while wages rise, boosting take home pay. Farmers may see lower prices per unit unless crops fail. Increased productivity could offset higher wages, and cheaper feed spurs hog production for more pork. Americans are expected to eat about 23 pounds more meat per person than in the 1930s.
