North Vietnam Accepts Return Of 560 POWs From South
North Vietnam agreed to receive 560 ailing prisoners of war from South Vietnam on June 4 marking the largest POW return. Ellsworth Bunker called the move an encouraging sign and hoped it leads to the release of American and allied prisoners. South Vietnam and North Vietnam had previously exchanged prisoners in several prior releases.
