Beckley council considers inviting Black Knight Club to join city
Beckley city council weighs extending city limits to include land owned by the Black Knight Country Club after planning officials approved two subdivisions Glen Morgan and Fair Hill within five miles of the city. Officials say the club benefits from city services and should be incorporated. The May 24 discussion is set. Other actions include inspecting drainage on Glenn Avenue at 215 Glenn Ave and funding summer fire uniforms from the old fund plus $25 from the city. Street work includes sewer work for Acme Supermarket Valley Drive and painting, sweeping, and corner work through May.
