Private Services Set Sunday For Mrs. Hodel
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Katharine Warren Hodel, wife of Charles Hodel, Beckley Newspapers president, will be Sunday in Rose and Quesenberry chapel with her brother Rev. Matthew M. Warren of Concord, N H, presiding. Burial at Wildwood Cemetery follows. She died Thursday at 4 25 p m of pneumonia after a stroke 20 months earlier. Born May 12 1889 near Union, Monroe County, she taught art 35 years and was connected to many local newspapers. Survivors include a daughter Rose Chrisley of El Paso Texas three Beckley sons and eight grandchildren. Memorials to Raleigh County Library Art Fund.
