The murder trial of Mary Bennett 39 will be held in Kanawha County Intermediate Court May 17. Judge William J. Thompson granted a continuance after Trooper C N Cook underwent surgery. Bennett is among four charged in the shotgun slaying of her stepfather Justin Hardman 70 on Feb 10.

Bank Employes Inherit $15000 From Weston Banker
In Weston UPI reports bank president Thomas A. Willan who died last week left $15000 to eleven veteran Citizens Bank employees. Five other staff with under 10 years service received $5000 each and all other bank workers got $500. The bulk of the estate goes to nine nieces and nephews in a trust. The will also places $100 monthly for two German Shepherds care and $20000 to St Josephs Hospital Buckhannon. Willan served with the bank 71 years.
