Wirtz to Visit Morgantown for Appalachian Manpower Talks
Labor Secretary Willard Wirtz will attend the Appalachian Conference on Manpower in Morgantown in May 1921 and deliver an address after a banquet at Hotel Morg. The event aims to assess regional labor needs, identify issues, and propose manpower policies for Appalachia. Locally Raleigh launches a state clean-up drive with a kickoff at Beckley Hotel and a motorcade tour by Gov. Hulett Smith.
