Poisons Must Be Kept Out Of Reach Of Children
Dr. Ross P. Daniel of the Raleigh County Health Department warns that hundreds of thousands of U S children are poisoned yearly by household substances left accessible. He cites 95 recent weekend poisonings reported to New York City’s Poison Control Center, involving 70 products from floor wax to bubble bath, and notes skin absorption from insecticides. He urges storing all poisons out of sight, away from curious under five year olds, and highlights risks from mislabeled containers and ubiquitous potentially poisonous products.
