Staco Indian Club To Host School Dance This Saturday

Staco High School in Wil sponsors an athletic dance in the gym to raise funds for the baseball team. Music by Dan danutols and his seven piece orchestra will play from 8 to 9:30 PM. Twelve girls compete for a queen title with two attendants, and tickets are available from contestants or at the door.

Sophia School Band Square Dance Tonight

James Lowery will call the square dance at Sophia High School tonight. The event starts at 8 pm in the school gym and is sponsored by the Sophia High School band to raise money for senior sweaters for band members.

Newcomers Club Spaghetti Dinner Aids Pinecrest Project

About 120 guests attended a spaghetti dinner hosted by the Newcomers Club to raise funds for the Pinecrest Sanitarium project. Proceeds support monthly patient birthday celebrations and gifts. dinner was served by members and volunteers, with decor featuring jonquils and green candies.

Miss Alberta L Rohrer Serves as Princess at Marshall Carnival

Miss Alberta Lou Rohrer of Beckley is named one of six princesses in Marshall College Spring Carnival Queen's Court in Huntington. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Albert L Rohrer of Harper Read and a Marshall College sophomore who represented the Sport letter independent women's organization in the event.
