Woodrow Wilson High minstrel set for Tuesday night

The annual Woodrow Wilson High School minstrel show is scheduled for next Tuesday at 8 PM in the high school, after a postponement due to a Lions Style Show. The 14 member jazz band, blue and white costumes, 24 performers, two interlocutors, four acts, four dances, humorous readings, and 15 singers comprise a packed program led by Glenn Webb and Milford Lewis.

Two Glen Rogers Crime: Attack on Dillon Daughters

In a driving rain two women walking home from a revival were ambushed near Laurel Branch. They were struck with a ten pound iron pipe and later taken to Beckley for treatment. The attackers fled, investigators traced three suspects from Mullens and Montgomery. Local police faced weather hindrances as evidence washed away.

Twenty two Woodrow Wilson High School students will participate in the annual senior play Ladies of the Jury on April 24. Mullens Hat Party draws sixty in Circle 2 event

In Mullens West Virginia Circle 2 of the Methodist church sponsored a Hat Party chaired by Mrs W Rez zonico. The event occurred Tuesday evening at the Ben Dunman graded gymnasium with games and contests as the main entertainment. Mrs Parker K Strong led the amateur program by school children with help from Mrs Ray Davis Mrs Clyde Holloway and Miss Andres Hale.
