New Textile Developments To Be Released This Year

West Virginia University specialists say 1960s textile advances include wash and wear woolens with permanent creases and pleats, cotton stretch fabrics, and improved wash and wear fibers. USDA research enables shrinkproof wool through washing, permanent pleats that endure wear, rain, and laundering, with nylon no longer sole stretch fabric. Stretch wool suits and stretch skirts expand options, a new synthetic to replace shoe leather is in early testing, and overall development is rapid across labs and industry.
