A Beckley Sunday school group urges saving story papers and sending them to under supplied schools. It details May convention plans June 10 11 12 with 16 counties represented and 685 delegates sought. Committee roles and hospitality plans are outlined with county presidents listed and a fund for supporting delegates.
The notice reports eight counties contending to exceed a fundraising quota of 5,238 dollars with Raleigh listed among them. Only 2,986.03 dollars are reported so far and March 31 is the last date. It urges readers to contribute, noting many Sunday schools have sent nothing.
The Near East Relief quota stands at 5238.00 with many Beckley area donors listed including Dorothy Colored School and Episcopal Church. The drive ends March 31, with eight counties competing to meet their quotas. Raleigh county urges public generosity, asking if any amount, even 1000 or 100, could save human lives, and all checks go to J. Win. Eldredge, treasurer, Beckley, West Virginia.

Dothan postoffice was discontinued on March 15 for lack of a post master and residents have suffered mail delays. Dothan is one of Fayette county's older offices. It is believed the office will be re established soon with a new postmaster.
Luke Worley known as Luke, a C and O engineer for 18 years, died Tuesday night at 9 in W. W. Withrow's pool room on Summers street. He was about 60, never married, and survived by parents Mr. and Mrs. Tazwell Worley of Beckley and several siblings including Mrs. G. W. Upton, Robert, and S. H. Worley.
Morris Harvey College at Barboursville will get 250000 from the general educational board of the M E Church South to grow on condition that full college work is offered. A 50000 centennial allowance brings the total to 300000. The plan calls for six dormitories on a 17 acre tract added to the grounds, with a move to the new campus in 1921 after Huntington becomes the county seat.

Notice states that on or about the 80th day of March 1920 an application will be filed with Pardon Attorney Harry D. Perkins in Charleston West Virginia for the pardon of M. H. Carter. Carter was convicted of moonshining at the October term 1920 of the Criminal Court of Raleigh County and sentenced to imprisonment in the West Virginian pen.
On April 23, 1920, at Herbert Stansbury law office in Beckley Raleigh County West Virginia, between 9 a m and 6 p m the deposition of Joseph A Lawson and others will be read in the chancery case where Lawson is plaintiff and Cassie B Lawson is defendant.
