Supreme Court Refuses Appeal in Greenbrier Insurance Case
The West Virginia Supreme Court declined to review a Greenbrier County dispute over a Farm Bureau Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. payment ruling. The 3-2 decision upheld a jury verdict granting Witt McClung $811 against Farm Bureau and rejected a like claim against Fidelity and Casualty. The case arose from a Highway collision and a lower court ruling confirming the McClung verdict while discarding a similar Fate against Fidelity. The court also considered a separate leasing dispute over a Kanawha County filling station lease involving Helene and Nell Fredekings versus Grimmett and Swiger, with prior rulings upheld. A separate alienation of affections suit from St. Albans was not disturbed.
