High School Students Win Trips To United Nations
Whitesville and surrounding areas celebrate as Sherman High School junior Patricia Radcliff and Marsh Fork High School junior Nancy Lonker win trips to the United Nations through the Theta Rho Girls Club Pilgrimage for Youth. Judging weighed church activity and community service, with Carolyn Tincher as trip alternate. The group also hosts a Colcord Rink skating party and reports a $100 Heart Fund door-to-door drive led by Mrs. Fern Gobel and Mrs. Laurine De Bord, with Mille Thompson as chair.

The Rebecca Lodge will serve an oyster supper sponsored by the Oct8 Fellows Lodge in Whitesville from 5 p m to 8 p m Friday. New candidates will be initiated Monday night in the Lodge hall.
