Glen White West Virginia reports weak church and Sunday school attendance last Sunday due to cold and flu cases among children but no serious illnesses. The Ladies Bible Class met with fourteen members at the Amusement Hall for a pot-luck supper. Rev. Smith and wife attended. Mrs. Wilburn and children visited her parents Mr and Mrs Wm Bolton. Injuries Fatal to Former Beckley Man Professor Dan Holbrook
Funeral services were held at Moorehead Kentucky for Professor Dan Holbrook who died after an auto accident a week earlier. He had connections with Beckley schools years ago and had recently worked at Moorehead State Normal School. Miss Virginia Smith, a Kentucky student living with the Holbrooks, notified her parents of his death. Beckley residents expect him to be brought home for burial.
