A National Institute of Mental Health study led by Dr. Genevieve Knupfer finds that the so called carefree bachelor is the least happy group. Among 785 adults aged 23 or older, married men topped in happiness, high spirits and job satisfaction, while bachelors, widowed, and divorced respondents scored lower.
