Lilly assaults Gazette ties in tax bills dispute

Oak Hill delegate Joe K Lilly charges the Charleston Gazette and its promotion manager Ned Chilton with aligning with a political group focused on personal battles rather than policy. He argues bills target personal foes, questions good faith, and proposes broader restrictions across state agencies. He backs House income tax and a package to fund teachers, warning the sales tax would erase raises. Separately, two Fayette County routes remain single lane after weekend slides, with crews pushing to restore two way traffic on Route 41 and Route 60 while road crews warn travelers to proceed with caution.
