Beckley Pushes Prince to Layland Road Plan With State Aid
The Beckley chamber of commerce will send a delegation to Charleston to press Governor Kump and State Road Commissioner Simpson on completing the Laurel Creek Road from Prince to Layland. Leaders from both parties back the probe, hoping to expose how funds from Townsend clubs sustain the movement and whether Townsend himself draws more than the targeted $200.
